Breastfeeding gift boxes

It is said that it takes a village to raise a baby, but in today’s society where breastfeeding rates are low, it can sometimes be difficult to find others who understand the physical and emotional journey of breastfeeding. The Breastfeeding Box is a symbol of mother-to-mother support, the perfect gifts to tell new parents that you are part of their village, and a celebration of the incredible experience and achievement that is breastfeeding.

Our breastfeeding gift boxes contain all of the essential items breastfeeding mothers need for their journey, including nipple balm and breastfeeding pads, snacks to keep them fuelled throughout the day and night, and breastfeeding milestone cards so they can celebrate their journey.

  • 🤱🏻Honesty Post 🤱🏻 You might have noticed that things have been quiet on The Breastfeeding Box lately. I’d love to tell you it’s because I’ve been working behind the scenes to make The Breastfeeding Box even better, but the truth is things have been a real struggle.
When your business is so interlinked with your personal life, it can be really hard to stay motivated when things aren’t great. I LOVE supporting breastfeeding and hearing all of your inspiring stories, but I’ve been struggling with my own journey and something that’s not really talked about much - how you feel when breastfeeding ends.
My own little one is 2.5 now and breastfeeding has been winding down gradually. Some days she doesn’t feed, other days she’ll have a little feed at bedtime. It’s how I’d always imagined it would be - natural weaning - but totally not how I’d imagine I’d feel. Most days I really dislike breastfeeding; her latch is awful and she pulls some incredible gymnastic shapes while latched, but there’s still this bereft feeling that our journey’s nearly over. Some people might think that’s crazy as we’ve breastfed for so long, but if there’s anything I’ve learned on this journey, breastfeeding (well parenting in general!) comes with a million emotions and sometimes you just have to embrace them.
We fought so hard to to establish breastfeeding in the beginnings. I’ve hated it, loved it, and ever other emotion in between but I just didn’t expect to feel so lost now. I’m incredibly proud of us too of course, I’ve just found it hard to focus on putting my all into supporting other people’s’ breastfeeding journeys while feeling this like. So, for a while I considered closing The Breastfeeding Box (some days I still do) BUT I feel like I need to give it one last shot. I’ve built this little business up from nothing and I’ve seen it do some incredible things.

We’re going to launch a couple of new products to pre-order in the coming days (keep your eyes peeled). We’ll see how they go and take it from there. We’d love your support if you’ll still have us 💕

  • 🤱🏻 It's World Breastfeeding Week 🤱🏻 Today is the first day of World Breastfeeding Week and if you're wondering how you can help to support it, here are some handy tips: 🤱🏻 Go along to a local Big Latch On - you can find your nearest event here ( and it's a great way to meet up with other breastfeeding Mums and be counted towards the global latch on figures. 🤱🏻 Share your breastfeeding journey on social media - it can feel really daunting discussing breastfeeding achievements on social media, no-one wants to make others feel bad if they didn't achieve their own breastfeeding goals, but being proud of your breastfeeding journey is understandable and sharing that with the world can give inspiration to others! Share a brelfie, add the World Breastfeeding Week frame to your profile picture on Facebook, write a post about what you've achieved. Don't forget you can also send us your story to share on our Breastfeeding Collective blog ( Send your story to Be loud and proud. 🤱🏻 Go along to a local breastfeeding group or join one online - whether you're a new breastfeeding Mum, or a seasoned pro, getting along to a group or finding an online group, is a great way to get support and to share any knowledge and experience that you gain along the way. There's lots of incorrect information out there about breastfeeding, and being able to share evidence-based information with others can be very helpful to protecting breastfeeding. If you're ever unsure of any information that you have received or have given, there are a number of books and online resources that you can use to fact-check your information. 'The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding' and Amy Brown's 'The Positive Breastfeeding Book' are two great examples of this.
Most of all, enjoy the week! It's a great excuse to celebrate your breastfeeding journey (or journeys) and to start some wonderful conversations about breastfeeding 💕 Let us know what you're up to!

  • Breastfeeding has been one of the most empowering experiences I’ve ever had.

If you feel the same, don’t forget to empower those around you. It’s the biggest tool we have to normalise breastfeeding 💕
